In the current information system being used for this and other objects at HRI - every "delverable" - be it a report, a spreadsheet, and electronic file or whatever -id identified by a leading code that tells the user what the function, purpose and content of the item is.
This allows (for example) a list of project files to be sorted so that all of the like objects are together in an alphabetical sort no matter how simple the system is. (Even Windows 8 can't screw that up - can it?)
So - if you look at the list of HRI websites all of the km6 sites are together - (they are aren't they?)
km6 is the identification for Special Interest Group (SIG) websites (this is not a SIG website) - and there are more than 30 of them so far.
- what's km - it's Knowledge Management - the SIG that's responsible for saying what these types of sites look like.
- you also see a lot of pm's kicking around - those are Project Management documents - and so on.
