This project is focused on providing an improved version of the much maligned mobile home park - in which the homes are not actually mobile in any useful degree to the owner.
It also addresses some environmental and social issues associated with denser communities (in other words - anything that isn't a McMansion on a 1/2 acre lot, 45 minutes out of town, requiring ownership of 1 1/2 vehicles per occupant and costing $1M)
The basic concept is that the part that the homeowner invests in is truly mobile and can be moved from one location to another within the Nomad system with about the same cost and timeframe as any other inter-city move would take.
Additionally the owner could expand their household by purchasing additional modules - or selling those modules as the empty nest years occur.
The private equity community can content themslves by purchasing shares in the infrastructure itslef - and not have to worry about tenents who punch holes in the walls or destroy appliances as they are part of the homeowners share.
This reduces the friction between the coporate investor's intertests and the homeowner's interest - and while the combined cost may indeed be somewhat higher - the resut will be two happier invetment communities. Oe who can pick up and go as they need to - and another that can be assured that the parts they own are part of a larger orgazation than a single collection of units, and are managed by a professional organization (Nomad in this case)
The "villages" could built almost anywhere - but they are a key component of the "string city" project which could open up entirely new areas of the country in an envoronmentally friendly way - while providing service delivery equal ro better than that in many town and small cities across the country.
A project to develop a new type of housing.
