This is the current list of km6 format Special Interest Groups follows.
All hri07e SIG's are compliant with sig:km (Knowledge Management) CDID KM06 and are subject to review and certification by SIG:KM. This is further strengthened by a SIG:QA (Quality Assurance) which is responsible for all QA activities and procedure within project hri07e - and hence HRI in general.
The SIG's have been created as part of project hri07e - Infosys2
To create a new SIG site - use the km6 template and copy it.
why YOU should become a SigMaster for Special Interest Group at Hammond River Institute
- HRI is a network for specialists in all the commonly used areas for industry and commerce where people do things.
HRI Special Interest Groups (sigs) are sub-nets of people who specialize in any of those areas and want to have access to and help maintain the knowledge base that they use everyday in their jobs and classrooms and hobbies.
sigs are not social media groups - they are like an organized and predictable Wikipedia that provides the details you need to actually get work done. (Wikipedia is often quoted - but the information content is rather unpredictable in format and tends to be an encyclopedia rather than a working handbook.)
That subject, expert, method, supplier, contact, definition, and so on that you used 18 months ago and need to use again can be relocated again quickly from the sig website - and linked as a reference into whatever task you are performing in a non-proprietary, open source way without having to rewrite a whole lot of details.
Some member of the sig will know what you need to know, sig members support each other - and argue with each other as required.
As you learn stuff, post it in the sig and share it with others. As the sig grows - you grow.
